What is the best low cost 3d home design software?

I want realistic looking kitchens and baths. I’d like to be able to show skylights and lighting.
Also, it has to be low cost. I mean, I don’t want to spend thousands of dollars. It should be under $100 ideally.

Thats a hard one. You will be hard pressed to find ANY 3D prog under $100 or free that has good functionality and is compatible with other programs. I suggest investing money into a prog like 3Ds Max or any one of the progs that can be imported into 3Ds.
3D Home Architect…. used it for years http://www.3dhaonline.com/home_designer_v9.htm
SketchUp made by Google is pretty useful , you should really give it a try it has a free version,
in the free version there are
-predesigned items (cabinets, cars etc) and also an online warehouse where you can download models made by others and add them to your models
-it has lighting, for different times of the day and year based on location
-online videos made by Google which are very intuitive and good quality to get you modeling fast.
-some limited animation features if I remember right for, shooting scenes
-creating 3D models from 2D snapshots of objects
-and many more features
seriously you should really give it a try, at least watch the video tutorials to see what it can do, and if it is good enough for you
the Pro version was 600$ the last time I checked it has more features than the Free version
